歸仁分局於11月17日凌晨在本市仁德區車路墘一處鐵皮屋，查獲天九牌職業賭場，逮捕賭場陳姓主持人、把風及工作人員4人，加上賭客30人一共35人，並查扣天九牌、骰子等賭具及賭資抽頭金共新臺幣（以下同）6萬餘元，全案依刑法賭博罪移送及社會秩序維護法裁處。
歸仁分局於11月初接獲轄內有職業賭場流竄線報，經積極查訪後掌握賭場位置，近日蒐證後向臺灣臺南地方法院申請搜索票，並於今日凌晨2時許，在保安警察大隊特殊任務警力支援下攻堅，順利查獲該職業賭場。
警方表示，雖新冠肺炎疫情警戒降級且相關規定逐步解封，但仍不能大意，因為賭場空間狹小，賭客雖有配戴口罩，但比鄰而坐，未保持社交安全距離，仍有染疫風險，為了一時娛樂而忽略疫情危機，實為不智之舉。
歸仁分局分局長長邱顯良強調，法律無假期，警方會持續積極布線查緝掃蕩職業賭場，淨化轄區治安。警方也呼籲，賭博為罪惡之淵藪，民眾應戒絕賭博，以免沈淪當中致傾家蕩產、身敗名裂，悔恨終生。
