萌萌der! 厭世模樣像是頂著龐克頭 企鵝寶寶「轉大人」

隨著天氣逐漸轉涼，屏東海生館的企鵝們彷彿也應景地換上秋冬大衣；其實是今年屏東海生館復育的企鵝們即將「轉大人」，邁向人生下一個階段。

每年冬天是屏東海生館極地水域最熱鬧的季節；隨著繁殖季結束，甫誕生的企鵝寶寶以及成鳥們也逐漸進入換羽期，寶寶們褪去出生時的絨毛，成為長大的模樣；成鳥們則是必須忍受兩到四週時間無法下水，來換上全新的羽毛。

由於正值換羽期的企鵝羽毛會不規則掉落，臉上偶爾也會帶著尚未脫落的羽毛，彷彿厭世模樣又像是頂著龐克頭，也讓飼育員一一拍下牠們可愛的畫面，分享企鵝成長的喜悅，感受企鵝寶寶的成長歷程。

孩子的成長就像是一個時間加速器，隨著時序推移，屏東海生館今年復育的企鵝寶寶逐漸脫下保暖的絨毛，換成具防水的外羽，為融入群體生活的「轉大人」開始做準備。企鵝幼雛在親鳥的照護下，羽毛以抵禦嚴寒、保暖為主的絨毛；約莫45至60天後，將逐漸褪換成具備防水功能的亞成羽。換羽過程中的企鵝們造型各有特色，讓人看了直呼太可愛！而繁殖季後的成鳥們，也同步在此時進入換羽期，約莫兩到四週時間。

在企鵝寶寶換羽過程中，為了避免牠們意外落水，或是與其它成鳥不小心碰撞受傷，飼育人員會為牠們設置特別的區域，小心翼翼地呵護企鵝寶寶們，讓牠們安心適應、成長，並學習生存的技能，包括如何進食、游泳等，待牠們適應餵食及學會如何游泳之後，才會與其它成鳥一起生活。

為了分享今年出生的企鵝寶寶每一個珍貴時刻，屏東海生館冬季活動《璀璨之海：共生的海洋日常》也同步推出企鵝寶寶寫真展，首度公開今年新生的企鵝寶寶珍貴畫面，包含破殼而出的毛茸茸企鵝，以及企鵝親子間的各種逗趣模樣。就像是每一位父母總是想記錄孩子成長的每一刻一樣，屏東海生館飼育員除了透過每天觀察拍照記錄這些企鵝寶寶的成長狀況，也透過這些照片保留了這些寶寶們成長的各種日常時光，讓觀展的民眾也透過飼育員充滿愛的視角看到這些精彩片刻。
