加強氣候行動 高市榮獲國際城市碳揭露計畫A級評鑑

高雄市歷年持續參與國際城市碳揭露計畫(CDP Cities) ，該評比標準區分為「溫室氣體減緩」與「氣候變遷調適」兩大領域，高市於今年度評鑑獲於兩項指標均獲A級「領導力」最高等級，自2018年以來本市累計獲得3次此殊榮。2021年全球有超過1,100個城市參與該計畫，僅9.8%的城市榮獲A級，充分展現本市氣候行動的最佳實踐與實質進展。
於溫室氣體減緩部分，高市工業部門佔溫室氣體排放量逾八成，歷年積極協助高排碳產業轉型，包含高雄煉油廠關廠、東南及環球水泥製程變更、優化及設備效能提升等，另積極提出44項具體減碳措施與行動項目，透過推廣再生能源發電設備及融資、發展綠能共享運具、工業燃料替換、訂定加嚴標準及設備補助等措施，2020年溫室氣體經盤查排放量為5,331萬噸，相較於2005年減量19.4%，獲得國際碳揭露計畫A級評鑑。
另外，高市2020年加入「脫煤者聯盟」，並提出各項政策，包括興達電廠秋冬季節燃煤機組停2減2，同時擴大減煤30日；中鋼3座機組皆於今年停止燃燒生煤，減煤30.6萬噸，轄內汽電共生廠規劃於2030年脫煤，累計減煤量340萬噸，進而減碳387萬噸。
而氣候變遷調適部分，面對極端氣候降雨不均，本市除加強排水系統清淤及瓶頸段改善，並已建構15座滯洪池，年底再增添五甲尾滯洪池，屆時總蓄洪量達386噸，蓄洪量高居全國之冠。鐵路地下化後，騰空廊道規劃為綠色園道全長15.37公里，導入微滯洪概念，總滯洪量高約15萬噸。
高雄市除降低強降雨危害外，亦積極開發水資源，除建置鳳山、臨海水資源中心進行水資源回收利用外，並同步開發地下伏流水，解決本市缺水問題，相關調適作為獲得國際A級評鑑肯定。
