台南三爺溪整治工程，在二號上午在挖掘工程中意外發現古橋墩，還能看到舊時橋墩樣貌，一共發現了13根，估計也有百年歷史，成功里長鄭晴而通報文化局，經過各單位會勘結果，一致同意鄭里長意見送至成功里，將暫時安置在車站公園，做為裝置藝術和椅子使用，亦可將歷史文物保存傳世。

成功里長鄭晴而表示，依現代的技術和科技，整治三爺溪工程，打樁大多是鋼板，相對上比較牢靠穩固，也因此看到古時候留下的木頭古橋樑，他推測當時的技術，橋樑只能以木頭當基柱，因此才會找到13根長型的古橋樑，雖然隨著時間流逝，看得出來已經有腐蝕的跡象，但外觀上，大致完好，可以窺見當時橋樑屬於大型通道，現場還能看到留下來的軌道痕跡，不難想像，當時車水馬龍的盛況。

意外挖掘到的百年古橋樑，成功里長鄭晴而喜獲至寶，也將把13根百年古橋樑的木頭，先運回牛稠子車站公園，當成公園意象，心中已經有藍圖，要把古橋樑的故事，在車站公園內，延續下去。
