為期二天的2021屏東風箏節昨日於高屏溪河濱公園登場，吸引爆滿親子家庭參加，五顏六色的風箏在天空爭奇鬥艷，熱鬧滾滾。潘孟安縣長特別施放今年主題風箏「屏東號」、超大型甜甜圈風箏及試乘展示熱氣球，象徵引领民眾從屏東出發看見全世界。

潘縣長表示，屏東風箏節今年邁入第6年，今年主題為「環遊世界趣」，雖然受COVID-19 疫情影響，國外風箏好手無法來台灣共襄盛舉，但縣府邀請國內各風箏相關協會及愛好者一起來，活動一樣豐富，屏東的天空一樣繽紛精彩，讓不能出國的民眾也可以感受滿滿的異國風情。

屏東風箏節連年在高屏溪河濱公園舉辦，已經成為許多大小朋友的最愛，為期兩天的活動從早上11時至下午5時安排了一連串的熱鬧，有人偶帶動跳、夏威夷舞蹈、中東肚皮舞、日本太鼓表演、卡通同樂會等，還有許多親子體驗，包括風箏DIY、藍染好術、客家四仔、小丑氣球趣、雲朵棉花糖及水資源闖關活動，現場並設置吸睛的熱氣球展演及大型水晶球，一早河濱公園就湧入大量人潮，不少家庭閤家出動來「放風吹」，不只小朋友開心，一些長輩看到滿天飛舞的風箏也很興奮，有民眾連續來了3年，直誇屏東辦的好。

潘縣長也和現場來賓試放「屏東號」風箏、飛盤風箏及甜甜圈風箏，尤其甜甜圈風箏直徑達15米，要眾人力量一起助力才能拉得動。「我小時候自己拿用竹編風箏就很不得了，這很難得」，潘縣長笑著說，現在的風箏 他童年的印記很不一樣，講究造型、競速，有的還要7、8人甚至團體合作才能飛，時代的進步讓童玩添加更多樂趣。
