引起熱議的比特犬咬死3歳童事件後，傷人的比特犬被關進收容所，收容所人員將比特犬的影片分享到網路上後，引發熱議，比特犬被關進收容所後，所方人員對比特犬進行「人道評估」，但傷人的比特犬表現十分乖巧而且會撒嬌與人也很親近，不少人質疑不幸被攻擊的3歲幼童當天是否先有不當之舉，導致比特犬認為被挑釁而攻擊；也有人批家長沒盡到保護責任。影片流出後今天也有大批愛狗網友表示「孩子跟狗都沒有約束能力，是大人需要接受宣導和需要教育！」、「不是狗的錯，飼主應該要罰，但是狗不該死」
大批網友湧入縣長潘孟安臉書為其求情。昨日潘孟安縣長也在留言區回覆相關留言，表示「每個生命都有存在的權利跟意義，強調「再多的情、理，終究還是要回到法令來做最終的處理」。
