由高雄市政府與數位時代聯合舉辦的亞灣創新x新創大南方(2021 Meet Greater South x 5G AIoT Expo)活動於高雄展覽館開跑，高雄市長陳其邁、經濟部長王美花、數位時代榮譽發行人何飛鵬、AIT高雄分處長禹道瑞等人出席參加，並親自體驗搭乘最新的無人載具，包含無人機、自駕車等，大秀最新的5G AIoT創新科技應用。
陳其邁說，高雄擁有最好的場域與資源，歡迎新創公司來創業發展，市府也加碼推出多項優惠及促產方案，包括「006688」的6年期租金補貼，前2年由市府補貼免租金、第3-4年租金6折、第5-6年租金8折，就可以在亞灣區擁有最完整的驗證場域，從上游的研發設計到下游的製造，提供一條龍服務，並連結機場到周遭國家，連結公有雲，到全世界的藍海，亞灣區正在打造高雄夢，從南方出發，迎接高雄時代的來臨。
「亞灣創新 x 新創大南方(2021 Meet Greater South x 5G AIoT Expo)」請來AWS、SparkLabs Taipei等多位專家分享國際趨勢，並匯集超過百家大廠、國營企業、公部門及學校展示5G AIoT應用，帶動南部創業動能，打造「大南方(Meet Greater South)」品牌。
為響應5G AIoT政策，中鋼結合活動宣布成立5G推動辦公室及實驗室，並展示相關應用成果；高雄市經發局、青年局也運用科技、前衛的設計元素聯手打造「高雄創新館」，以「智慧科技」及「青創生活」兩大主題，整合32家新創團隊展示AI、AR、XR、AloT等最新的智慧與生活科技應用。
此外，高市府也將首創的「高雄好家載」平台結合智慧餐飲系統專家肚肚，串聯市場、夜市攤商打造「高雄好家載食宴」場域，現場展示手機智慧點餐，結合軌道、機器人互動送餐的最新應用，讓夜市小吃登上科技會展，搶先體驗未來新「食」代。
