打造全球最大廠區 英特格加碼投資高雄80億

英特格高雄廠8月動土，目前緊鑼密鼓趕工。
半導體先進材料大廠美商英特格今年8月宣布在南科高雄園區投資60億元建廠，本月又加碼80億元，合計未來3年內將投資共140億元在高雄打造在台最先進技術、支援5奈米含以下製程的廠區，未來將是英特格全球最大製造基地，預計新廠完工將再招募100位高階工程師，年營收將達140億元，協助高雄半導體生態系統持續成長。
高雄市政府經發局長廖泰翔指出，市長陳其邁上任後積極打造優質投資環境，已陸續吸引包括台積電、默克、穩懋、英特格等多家世界級大廠加碼投資高雄，累計投資額已突破千億元，幫助南部半導體S廊帶產業聚落逐漸成形，為高雄下個百年產業轉骨奠定發展基礎。
針對英特格看好高雄今日宣布再加碼投資，廖泰翔表示，事實上投資高雄事務所掌握廠商投資動向，已指派專案經理自去年開始密切與英特格聯繫，不論水、電、土地到人才都已準備好，後續相關投資需求市府也都將全力協助，為業者排除障礙，加速建廠時程。
英特格台灣總經理謝俊安說明，英特格看好高雄半導體產業佈局及發展決定加碼投資，位於南科高雄園區的新廠總面積將由從原計劃的2萬7,000平方公尺（約8,168坪），倍增至5萬4,000平方公尺（約16,335坪），完工後將是英特格全球最大的製造基地，另因應廠區擴大也將再增聘100位具工程背景和製造相關經驗的人才，未來幾年隨著廠區全面營運後，將持續擴大員工編制。
「台灣將是英特格在亞洲最大的製造基地。」謝俊安表示，英特格在台深耕30年，本次投資計畫將進一步提升在台灣市場的核心能力，確保滿足客戶需求，強化對主要客戶供應的穩定度，並進一步在台灣穩定成長。
經發局表示，美商英特格是台積電、英特爾、三星、鎧俠（Kioxia）和SK海力士等國際大廠供應商，在全球半導體供應鏈佔有舉足輕重地位，未來高雄廠將生產5奈米、3奈米等先進半導體材料，且將優先供應台積電及本土半導體公司，壯大半導體高雄隊實力。
