「2021雲林縣第一屆風箏衝浪公開賽」經兩日競賽，昨日下午在三條崙海域圓滿落幕，首日由雲林縣長張麗善偕同現場貴賓合力將風箏打氣，風箏充氣展開的同時為首屆雲林風箏衝浪「衝」出好成績，縣長張麗善表示這是雲林縣史上首場海上運動全國公開賽，加上三條崙的平水環境，是初學者的天堂寶地，再進入冬季時期，東北季風風力可高達40幾節，也是世界各地風箏衝浪高手挑戰極限的絕佳場域，全台有近60餘位風箏衝浪選手共襄盛舉。
2021雲林縣第一屆風箏衝浪公開賽分為「繞標競速」及「跳高表演」兩項賽事，在雲林風的加持下，選手腳踩浪板，手持風箏飆風出海，也飆出好成績，競賽成績分別為: 繞標競速賽男子組前三名依序為父子檔莊子言、莊九為以及來自日本的外籍東屋秀敏，繞標競賽女子組前三名依序分別為吳秋芬、侯佳玲及陳曲芸；跳高表演賽男子組前三名依序為紀孫豪、莊子言及莊九為，跳高表演賽女子組前三名依序為遠從澎湖的風箏衝浪女子跳高世界記錄保持人侯佳玲、雲林媳婦林玟綺及陳曲芸，今(21)日由副縣長謝淑亞及四湖鄉長蘇國瓏共同頒發獎項。
活動兩天三條崙海浴會場均一早就湧進各地風箏衝浪愛好者及觀賽人潮，為風箏衝浪選手加油打氣，另周邊還有天籟美聲戶外音樂會、親水市集等活動，縣府更拋出活動好禮: 活動日前300名到場參與的民眾，送限量宣導品防疫組合包及限量前200名至服務台臉書粉絲專頁按讚，就可領取市集抵用卷1張，雙重好禮不到中午就兌換完畢，活動兩日吸引眾多人潮湧入，民眾直呼三條崙真的不一樣。
縣長張麗善也特別提及「雲林故鄉從不缺乏美，用眼睛發現大自然的美。」雲林縣好風好水，縣府團隊全力將四湖鄉三條崙海水浴場打造成為全台風箏衝浪的推動基地，期盼雲林的價值被看見，計畫處長李明岳接著說，期望三條崙海域能一躍國際成為絕佳風箏衝浪據點，未來將不定期舉辦風箏衝浪活動，秋冬季實際下水玩風箏衝浪，春夏季則從事風翼運動及安全教育課程，讓更多人能夠體驗這項既好玩又刺激的水上極限運動，將來持續辦理賽事推展至國際，使更多國內外職業好手玩家有更豐沛充足的資源及發光發熱的舞台。
