嘉義大學新任校長遴選出爐 林翰謙當選

國立嘉義大學現任校長艾群明年1月31日將屆齡退休，去年11月起校方即進行校長遴選作業，12月2日第八任校長遴選委員會投票選出木質材料與設計學系林翰謙教授為第八任校長人選，並由學校依規定報請教育部核聘中。
林翰謙博士於民國86年進入嘉義大學當時為嘉義農業專科學校)擔任教職，教學服務迄今20餘載，期間兼任研究發展處校務企劃組組長、林產科學系系主任、林産科學暨家具工程學系系主任、軍訓室主任、學生事務處學務長、秘書室主任秘書、研究發展處研發長兼產學營運中心中心主任、農業科技全英碩士學位學程主任及農學院院長等職務，行政經驗豐富。
林翰謙博士曾獲27件研究計畫主持人、應用活性碳7項發明專利、第三十三屆林產學術獎木材物理加工傑出貢獻、嘉大94學年度教學績優肯定獎及99學年度第1學期「嘉大典範學習講座」傑出教師等榮譽。1997年至2021年發表國內外專書專章著作共10篇，及期刊論文96篇等學術論文。
林翰謙教授在治校理念中表示，高等教育受環境變遷、少子女化的影響、未來國家政策以及學校面對的內外在條件下，除了應傳承踏實聚焦學校、學院及系所特色的發展及定位考量外，更需要以作為學校遠景的領航者、教育熱誠的激發者、創新知識的倡議者、資源異見的整合者、績效責任的承擔者等自我激勵。
林翰謙指出，學校資源限縮，當以有效且妥善的運用規劃，透過經費分配制度化及師資員額妥善配置規劃，財務管理公開及透明化，保障教學基本需求及品質，將資源放在最需要的地方，讓教學、研究與服務推廣並重，期以「展望 2030 傳承踏實 十年樹木 百年樹人」擘劃學校的未來發展，冀望帶領嘉義大學邁向新紀元。
