嘉義市中元普度文化獨具特色，「2022諸羅城隍中元祭」將於7月26日(農曆6月28日)晚上起鼓登場，今(19)日舉辦活動宣傳記者會，嘉義市長黃敏惠、嘉義城隍廟賴永川董事長暨全體董監事及多位貴賓共同參與。今年廟方攜手阮劇團，用戲劇演繹宗教民俗，吸引年輕族群，也首次推出「城隍長壽餅」，用料簡單天然，包裝設計融入「城隍夜巡」遶境祈福元素，三款禮盒款式，成為推展宗教祭典的最佳伴手禮。

黃敏惠市長表示，嘉義城隍廟創建至今三百餘年，長久以來守護市民，是地方重要的信仰中心。尤其在每年農曆7月，城隍中元祭典皆承襲百年傳統遵循古禮辦理。廟方今年更跨界與烘焙業合作，首次推出「城隍長壽餅」，適用於各種慶典節日，讓大家吃平安、吃健康。同時也祈求在城隍爺等眾神明的庇佑下，疫情能夠早日結束，盡快回歸社會日常。

嘉義城隍廟董事長賴永川說明，每年農曆6/27-7/1舉辦「城隍開恩 全嘉開普」，呈現完整起鼓、豎燈篙、放水燈、淨爐除穢及開普的輪普儀式；月中7/13-7/15以「城隍領航 佛道超度」，舉辦佛道超渡拔薦大法會；每年鬼門關後，城隍廟遵循傳統，展開農曆8/1「城隍夜巡 夯枷解厄」祈福遶境活動，隔日8/2「綏靖城隍 聖誕千秋」慶典，無上福田功德圓滿。「嘉義城隍廟中元祭典」是嘉義市珍貴的無形文化資產，歡迎廣大信眾前來參與，深入了解嘉義在地的城隍文化。

厚米烘培負責人郭倍滋提及，取名「長壽餅」係因當今醫療科技日新月異，人類平均壽命雖有提升，但疾病卻也跟著變多。這款城隍長壽餅，堅持食安原則，製作用料簡單天然，且選用進口高級發酵奶油，不添加香精、香料、防腐劑，呈現食材本身風味，透過特殊比例製成，讓大家吃得開心又安心。這次一共推出「呷甜甜高雅禮盒」、「城隍夜巡禮盒」與「時來運轉提盒」等三種款式，送禮自用兩相宜。
