重返八瑤灣 蒂摩爾古薪舞集演繹牡丹社事件

歷經三年的籌備與等待，蒂摩爾古薪舞集8月6日、7日在屏東藝術館演出《bulabulay mun?》， 這是國內第一次以現代舞詮釋「牡丹社事件」。負責編舞的舞蹈總監巴魯．瑪迪霖表示，舞團並非以作品評論歷史，而是以舞者的身體語言首次展現八瑤灣的風與浪濤，希望「重新看見牡丹」。

《bulabulay mun?》是屏東縣政府委由蒂摩爾古薪舞集創作，原定去年六月配合牡丹社事件150周年首演，惟受疫情影響，作品延後一年發表，這次是疫情趨緩後的首演，多了一年的淬練，作品再升級。在疫情期間，舞團還到八瑤灣現場拍攝舞蹈電影，當舞者站在八瑤灣的土地上，在水裡沙裡舞動傳統舞步，迎風高唱古謠，舞團更確定整部作品要呈現的就是牡丹社。
蒂摩爾古薪舞集雖非來自牡丹，但同為排灣族，舞團想展現的是更多元的角度，於是巴魯嘗試以「問候」為編舞主軸，以揮手、握手等身體語言貫穿全場，歷經一次又一次的重返八瑤灣，親身感受當地的狂風與浪濤，終於完成第一支以牡丹社事件為主題的現代舞創作。

籌備期間，舞團多次下鄉田調，他們特別在作品中呈現兩首牡丹鄉的古謠「e ne lja」及「saceqalj」，來自不同族群的六位舞者，不但得學會吟唱古謠，還得學會牡丹鄉新保將（部落名稱）特有的舞步，從身體的律動中感受牡丹族人的氣息，甚至連舞台服裝顏色都以牡丹紅、黃為主色；就如舞者所說「在吟唱古謠的當下，我就是牡丹人了」。
整部作品以燈光、音樂及即時投影互動，在舞者的舞動下呈現「序」、「問候」、「攻防」、「殤」、「始末」等四個段落，巴魯說，作品中雖沒有戰爭場面、沒有角色對應，但是相信每一位觀眾看完後，心中都會呈現各自解讀的八瑤灣風雲，一部作品，千種感受，這也是現代舞最可貴之處。
