跟著藝術家遊綠島 「2023綠島人權藝術季」暑期活動開跑

國家人權博物館「2023綠島人權藝術季」自5月17日開展後，為人權議題與綠島在地社群創造對話，作為當代藝術深入白色恐怖時代的知識及思想載體，回望及反思複雜且充滿歧異的歷史。藝術季更於四個月的展期，規劃多項教育推廣活動，在即將邁入端午連假與暑假之際，特別推出線上影展，以及由藝術家親自帶領的走讀、明信片書寫和桌遊體驗等精彩活動，期望民眾把握盛夏時光親身走訪綠島，一同領略藝術如何回應歷史的迴聲。
〈火燒島旅遊指南〉分布在環島公路沿線，提供十座聚落的旅遊指引，將手機插入花生造型裝置，即會擴聲訴說火燒島故事（圖＿人權館提供）。
率先於端午連假登場的是6月24日「〈火燒島旅遊指南〉走讀」，由參展藝術家吳克威、蔡郁柔帶領，藉由環島一覽他們在2021 至2023年間，深度踏查綠島的聚落與創作〈火燒島旅遊指南〉：這份非主流的旅遊指南讓民眾體驗到綠島在歷史中的演變，提供旅客入境包含已遭廢棄的「大白沙」、「楠仔澳」、「祖仔坪」、「鱸鰻溝」、「海參坪」、「柚子澳」等十座聚落，藉由聚落的存在與消失，一探綠島在現代化過程中產業轉型、居民與環境的轉變，以及居民的情感與歷史記憶；暑假期間，在7月22日推出藝術家劉紀彤「後來的人寄出的風景——明信片書寫工作坊」、8月18至19日推出「測不準工作室」的「〈大革命家〉桌上角色扮演遊戲」等藝術家創作工作坊。

此外，本次綠島人權藝術季自7月1日開始為期一個月，將與「Giloo紀實影音」合作推出線上影展，上線5件參展的錄像作品：包含虛構當今新冷戰情勢下的臺灣的Candy Bird〈一切順心〉；越南藝術家阮芬林駐地綠島創作的〈紀念碑、遊樂場和島嶼〉；蔡崇隆、阮金紅和史旻玠聯手以監牢空間探討移工生活的〈歷史的裂縫—移工在綠島〉；波蘭藝術家咖容琳娜‧布瑞秋拉〈灰塵 〉記錄兩位拒絕從預定拆除的老城區搬遷的女性；韓國藝術家鄭庾陞探討光州民主化運動中，為抗議運動提供支援，但因為「娼妓」汙名被視為無聲抗議者的女性們的 〈黃金洞女子們 2018〉。透過線上影展，得以深入理解來自臺灣與國際藝術家們以影像回應人權議題的跨界思考。

Today, I went to the beachfront with my kids. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She put the shell to her ear and screamed.
