2022《遠見雜誌》縣市長施政滿意度調查結果出爐，嘉義縣、市首長皆獲5星殊榮肯定，嘉義縣長翁章梁滿意度82.2%，較去年成長 10.2 個百分點，也較2019上任第一年大增32個百分點，在滿意度進步方面獲第一；嘉義市長黃敏惠滿意度80.7%、較去年成長7.2個百分點，增幅為全台第三，任內滿意度創新高。八大面向表現滿意度77.8%、年增2.6%，為全台第三。
翁章梁指出，進步不能停下腳步，縣政必須接受檢驗！在這次的滿意度調查數據中，嘉義縣八大面向綜合評比以79.2%位居全國之冠，其中道路交通及消防公安兩面向均排名第一、醫療衛生第二，這是縣府團隊共同努力的成果。

「肯定越多，責任越大！」翁章梁說，嘉義縣就像一個期待受孕要有小孩的婦女，在大家積極的力量與關心下，眾所期待的工業化轉型已經有了雛形，再來等10個月臨盆、長大、成年，這段時間是最艱苦也最需小心呵護的時候，即便疫情籠罩也要努力發展嘉義。
民眾對於翁縣長的連任支持度更逾七成，翁章梁說，三年前我們「勇敢轉型、創新嘉義」，經過大家的努力與承擔，現在是「農工大縣、正在實現」；三年來的努力鄉親給予很多支持，謝謝大家的掌聲與包容。
依據該調查統計顯示，嘉義市在八大面向滿意度成績上升的項目包括教育、環保、道路與交通、醫療衛生、觀光休閒及經濟與就業，皆位於全國前段班；尤以「環保」、「醫療衛生」為全台第一，且「經濟與就業」大幅提升9.9%，成績斐然。
「來到嘉義市，就是好生活!」黃敏惠說，我們「分區開發、多頭並進」，以鐵路高架化縫合都市、西區大發展，磁吸周邊區域人口；鄰近縣市產業園區的發展，對嘉義市來說是危機也是轉機，我們會發揮優勢，吸引產業園區的人才來嘉義市，不管是生活、教育、觀光、消費，都能享有擁有最高品質的生活，將嘉義市打造成為「全齡共享、世代宜居」新都心。
黃敏惠指出，我們用設計思維導入市政，實驗教育、國際教育的實現，讓孩子沉浸於創意的教材教法及說英文的成就感，中央廣場變身森林冒險遊戲場、中正公園成為遊戲百科全書，打造創意無限的公園2.0；舊監獄宿舍群打造成實驗木場，培育木業人才；遊民收容所變身為有事青年的培育基地，活化地方創生木業的傳承與教育，在在顯示市府團隊的用心。
嘉義市府團隊重視各項環保議題，今年於湖子內動土的底渣再利用場與飛灰穩定化物暫置場，廢棄物可妥善處理、大幅減少廢棄物產生；大溪厝水環境教育園區再造，是嘉義市第一座兼具水質淨化、生態保育、環境教育及休閒遊憩之多功能場域，榮獲2022公共建築景觀類建築園冶獎；YouBike2.0 及市區電動公車落實節能減碳目標，均是SDGs永續發展重要的指標。
嘉義市醫療資源充足，擔負雲嘉嘉醫療中心角色，今年疫情嚴峻，市府團隊團結一致，用淺顯易懂的語言、圖卡及直播，協助市民獲取疫情新知，另也與多家醫療院所合作，精準迅速提供疫苗施打、篩檢服務，是台灣本島疫情最輕微的地方。
