高苑科大起死回生 台鋼出手相救變身台鋼科大？

台鋼集團將接手高苑科大，預計改名為台鋼科技大學（圖＿高苑科大臉書）。
高苑科技大學去年因財務困境被教育部列為專案輔導學校，自2022年6月起積欠教職員薪資，已被教育部開罰6次，罰鍰共215萬元。若5月31日前沒有改善財務狀況，就會面臨停招、停辦。
根據《聯合新聞網》報導指出，台灣鋼鐵集團捐資2.8億元，將接手高苑科大，並計劃改名為「台鋼科大」。對此，台鋼29日晚間證實，捐資2.8億元協助高苑，詳細情況還需要走完流程才會公布，預計6月6日召開記者會對外說明。
至於原有科系是否會面臨裁撤或調整？根據了解，台鋼集團將朝向兩院六系的方向去規劃，以運動休閒以及機械、電機領域為主。台鋼集團涵蓋四大產業與十大行業的綜合型集團，橫跨有「鋼鐵」、「網通」、「化學綠能」與「健康運動」四大領域，學生畢業後將有機會進入台鋼集團工作。高苑是否改變退場命運，將由6月5日私校退場審議會決定。
