台南市議員蔡宗豪今天在議會自由發言中為體育選手福利請命，府城優秀體育選手多，但礙於高中體育專班名額有限，選手被迫離鄉繼續升學，體育教練人數也不足，選手必須自掏腰包請教練，更讓選手難過的是，代表台南到外縣市參加比賽，交通費用補助金額限定區間車資，想想民進黨高官出國出差搭飛機頭等艙，優秀選手北上拚金牌卻是搭區間車，真是叫人情何以堪！

蔡宗豪指出，台南滑輪溜冰曲棍球選手表現不凡，至今卻沒有專屬場地，永大溜冰場地六月完工將開放使用，希望能編列經費比照新北市闢建完整場地，提供曲棍球場地，因為這是好投資。優秀運動人才外流也是一大問題，以羽毛球項目為例，選手國中讀體育專班，高中額度不足無法銜接，必須到外縣市讀體育班，全國比賽也是代表外縣市，建議增加體育專班增設出來，大灣國中三十幾個體育專班學生，到了高中只有六個體育名額，希望增加高中部體育班名額，若讓家長和選手必須跑到外縣市，優秀人才外流會很可惜。

蔡宗豪說，羽毛球是雙人運動，教練部分一個教練要帶四十名左右的學生，這不是健身房的團體課，學生多只派一位教練指導這是不合理的，為了拚出好成績，學生必須自己籌錢請更多教練，怎會有這種情況發生？就好比到學校讀書，師資不足要學生自行負責，學校存在意義何在？
黃偉哲市長表示，對每個教練指導的優秀選手，應依教練能量和選手實力，做一個分級。
蔡宗豪更說，台南市針對運動員培訓住宿，參加比賽每天補助六百元，現在台南市能找到每天一千元以下的住宿地方嗎？況且選手成績越好住得越久，若經濟狀況不好根本無法負荷，更讓人傻眼的是，交通費用補助不得超過區間車的車資，民進黨高層出國公差搭飛機坐頭等艙，讓優秀選手做區間車到台北打比賽，能比出好成績嗎？
