嘉義民雄中正大學特區一棟出租套房，廖姓房東將2棟房子間的防火空間增建，6樓頂樓違章加蓋，多隔成17間套房出租，109年9月遭檢舉違建，縣府裁定為違章建築，房東未自行改善，縣府21日前往執行強制拆除，目前先將防火空間違建破壞至無法使用，房東切結111年2月底會自行拆除。
縣府經發處表示，該棟建物去年遭檢舉違建，派員檢視後發現房東在未經許可下，將兩棟建築物間防火空間增建並整併成套房出租，6樓也違法加蓋，嚴重影響逃生安全。

經發處指出，今年12月10日已函文廖姓房東21日上午將拆除建物違建，並於該建物明顯處張貼公告。但因6樓住戶尚未撤離，此次僅先破壞防火空間違建部分，並將向所有權人收拆除費用，另限期明年2月底前，由房東自行拆除。
