屏東王船文化館開工 保存百年祭典文化

為保存屏東迎王平安祭典百年文化，屏東縣政府22日舉行「王船文化館」開工動土，為國內首座以無形文化資產-王船文化為主題的展示館。縣長潘孟安表示，未來除了每3年1科的迎王祭典，也能到王船文化館欣賞造船匠師的精湛工藝、感受迎王的深度魅力。
王船文化館動土儀式遵古禮進行，恭請東隆宮溫府千歲、七角頭，及十大宮廟神尊坐鎮護持，潘孟安縣長、文化部次長蕭宗煌、立委周春米，東港鎮長徐志雄等各級民意代表等人出席參與，祈求在王爺庇佑下，工程施工順利。
潘孟安縣長指出，位列國家重要無形文化資產的「東港迎王平安祭典」，與南州、小琉球的屏東三大迎王祭典，已成為聞名全台重要的宗教文化慶典。本月初甫落幕的屏東迎王盛典，再度掀起宗教文化觀光熱潮。不只歷史悠遠的祭典文化，匠心獨具的王船建造技術，更是屏東具代表性的傳統工藝，都是值得被永久保存的文化資產，感謝文化部支持王船文化館的興建計畫，完整典藏屏東迎王文化，傳承造船匠師智慧
文化部次長蕭宗煌說，名為[王船文化館],但具備博物館本質，期許未來是一座活的博物館，會說故事的博物館及永續的博物館。
王船文化館基地座落在東港分局旁，縣府自107年開始進行先期規劃，今年獲文化部核定補助，工程總經費逾7億元。
建築設計概念採用「海」之意象，如上方開孔象徵王船龍目，建物下方折線象徵海浪，並透過觀景台可遠眺大鵬灣。預計於112年完工，113年正式開館營運。
館內將展示有關王船文化之國定民俗、屏東縣內王船文化以及東港迎王平安祭典等。為保存東港之王船建造技術，並打造東港等比例大的實體王船作為典藏，同時透過新媒體科技打造沉浸式劇場，向觀眾介紹王船文化。
另設有240席的多功能視聽室、研習教室、圖書室、典藏庫房、特展空間以及餐飲、商業空間等，具備完整的博物館機能。
文化處表示，王船文化館未來將提供民眾更深入了解迎王文化，透過展覽了解其歷史脈絡，在非迎王期間，遊客也能夠感受迎王祭典的震撼，同時將作為文化傳承的平臺，藉由各類傳習課程、特展的推廣，讓地方文化扎根。
