今年度家犬貓絕育補助活動將結束 南市動保處籲飼主把握最後機會

臺南市動物防疫保護處積極向農業部爭取家犬貓絕育補助，112年絕育將近4千隻家犬貓，絕育補助活動即將於11月30日結束，請家中犬貓尚未完成絕育的飼主，把握最後機會，盡速帶犬貓至配合的動物醫院完成。若來不及參與今年絕育活動，可於明年隨時關注動保處官網絕育補助訊息。
動保處表示，民眾對家犬貓絶育的觀念仍有待提升，時常可見鄉村放養型家犬貓尚未完成絕育，加上在外遊蕩，無形之中因不斷繁衍而產生流浪犬貓族群，造成人與狗貓之間的衝突。因此，飼主若能將家犬貓完成絕育並愛他一輩子不棄養，長期下來就能逐年減少流浪犬貓的數量，也可以避免人與流浪犬貓之間這些不愉快的衝突。

目前農業部調查臺南市流浪犬族群數量逐年下降，自民國107年2萬2176頭、109年1萬9539頭、111年1萬1373頭，可見本市動保政策推行方向正確，不論是家犬或流浪犬皆需要絕育，這樣才不會讓毛小孩在外遊蕩時衍生更多後代。
動保處呼籲解決流浪犬貓問題的三大方針為「立法、教育、絕育」，其中以「絕育」為最快速且有效的方法，依據動物保護法第27條第8款規定，未為寵物絕育且未申報及提出繁殖管理說明，或未申報繁殖需求而繁殖寵物，可處新臺幣5萬元以上25萬元以下罰鍰。請飼主盡速為家中犬貓完成絕育，或向動保處申報免絕育，以免受罰。
