在地的實踐 禁山保安林疣柄魔芋回娘家

林務局屏東林區管理處與新埤鄉建功社區發展協會為保育屏東特有植物「疣柄魔芋」，於禁山保安林舉辦「疣柄魔芋回娘家」活動，與新埤鄉鄉長林志成、建功村長孔德成及社區理事長謝秋郎、議員李世淦、新埤國中、藍色東港溪協會及在地居民約50人，共同種下疣柄魔芋苗木，並宣導保安林、保育及生態環境保護觀念的重要性，孔村長也提供30株疣柄魔芋幼苗贈送現場參加民眾，期能結合政府單位與在地民眾力量，共同發揮保安林生態服務價值。
活動由社區介紹疣柄魔芋生長特性與對社區的重要性，且因復育區鄰近新埤國中學區，亦可作為學校戶外教育場地使用，教育學生復育的重要性，並讓保育觀念自幼苗扎根，使學生能友善自然環境，重視身邊的一草一木，也藉由此次活動讓學生能身體力行，為保護物種盡一份心力。

新埤鄉鄉長林志成表示，建功具有湧泉、魔芋等自然資源，只可惜以往缺乏整合，希望將來可以結合各單位，把建功營造成全國最大的疣柄魔芋區，也可做為學校教學及生態解說的材料，讓疣柄魔芋成為新埤鄉的特色物種。
屏東林管處處長楊瑞芬說，禁山保安林是一個非常靠近學校及社區的保安林，以往都以編號「2409號水源涵養保安林」稱呼它，110年由社區民眾、學校師生及家長一起命名後，決定以「禁山保安林」來稱呼它，這裡的環境非常優美，湧泉是這裡重要的資源與特色，感謝村長及社區協助認養，並投入疣柄魔芋的復育工作，今天的「疣柄魔芋回娘家」活動是一個美好的開始，後續林管處會持續透過機關合作平台，盤點地區的環境教育、生態保育、湧泉、文史等資源特色，讓這裡的生活、生產、生態、生命，四生都能永續發展。
屏東林區管理處表示：為強化公私協力機制，以策略一致、責任分擔且平等互惠為原則，與在地共同合作經營管理保安林，使保安林效益得以全民共享。禁山保安林就是由建功社區認養1.33公頃土地，以0.16公頃範圍作為疣柄魔芋復育區，除協力林管處共同巡守保安林環境，並協助通報森林火災及盜伐、濫墾、濫倒廢棄物等違法情事，加強保安林經營管理，達到保安林公私協力惠益共享目標。
屏東林管處也呼籲後續能有更多社區加入認養保安林的行列。
