台南市立游泳池歷經一年多整修，並透過委外營運業者投資優化內部裝修，今（13）日正式營運，台南市長黃偉哲、體育局長陳良乾及多位關心體育發展的民意代表，包括市議員林美燕、蔡筱薇、呂維胤、周麗津、蔡淑惠、穎艾達利、陳怡珍、蔡旺詮、李中岑、沈震東、許至椿、黃麗招、王家貞等，皆到場祝賀，共同迎接市立游泳池嶄新營運局面。

市長黃偉哲表示，非常高興台南市立游泳池能重新開幕，市立游泳池歷史悠久，但年久失修，兩年前停止營業，為進行優化，南市府爭取體育署補助計畫經費2,866萬元，其中體育署補助1,946萬元，南市府自籌920萬元，除汰除老舊柴油鍋爐更新熱泵加熱系統，並針對室內游泳池池體、過濾系統及蒸氣室設備進行更新與改善。另為提供身心障礙市民更安全的設備設施，增設無障礙入水椅及增設無障礙廁所。
黃偉哲指出，希望藉由更多元運動空間的建置，提供市民更豐富的運動選擇，打破傳統游泳池只有游泳的刻板印象，翻新過的市立游泳池，儼然已是一座微型國民運動中心，可充分帶動台南市各族群運動人口提升。適逢暑假，也歡迎大、小朋友一起到市立游泳池從事休閒運動，不僅消暑又能強身健體。

體育局長陳良乾表示，台南市立游泳池整修工程自109年開工，並於110年8月9日驗收完工，經促參程序甄審後，由榮灝股份有限公司取得委託營運管理權，並進行期初投資1,700萬元內部裝修，整修內容包含室內游泳池增設熱泵、更新會員淋浴間，並就舊有空間改設以往沒有的有氧教室、多功能訓練教室、體適能中心及幼兒體適能教室。

體育局說明，台南市立游泳池自7月13日起正式營運，開館時間自上午6時至晚上10時，除提供市民較以往更多元及符合新世代運動需求的空間外，未來三年內，榮灝公司將再投資2,300萬元整修室外游泳池，並建置新型態戲水設施，期許打造台南市立游泳池，成為台南市微型國民運動中心典範。
