台南市長黃偉哲為感謝東區大學里許俊雄里長服務40年來的辛勤付出，今（14）日特與民政局局長姜淋煌及東區區長顏能通親自至里長家中致贈紅匾以茲祝賀，讚揚里長十全十美為民服務奉獻。
深耕東區大學里40載的許俊雄里長近來突拋震撼彈，宣布今年不再投入選戰，大學里民紛紛表示不捨。許里長任內對於里內各項設施、道路維護、車禍排解及劃設停車位都盡心盡力為民服務及爭取，並成立環保志工，推動社區綠美化及環境清潔與維護，另外對於震災及捐助民間弱勢團體物資更是不遺餘力。
值得一提的是，由於許里長出身清寒，飽受失學之苦，因而深感教育是窮人翻身、階級流動的機會，更抱持著「什麼事都能省，就是孩子的教育不能省」之信念，所以在事業有成後，為鼓勵優秀向學之莘莘學子，40年來特將里長事務費全數捐出，籌辦里轄優秀學子獎學金，以鼓勵青年奮發向學。
市長黃偉哲特別感謝許里長40年來秉持與民同在、苦民所苦、承擔責任之心，帶領地方基層團隊與市府合作，讓里政、區政及市政得以密切結合；並善用地方資源，以同理心與熱忱關懷的態度解決問題，使市府各項政策皆可以順利推動，造福里民，足為表率。
民政局長姜淋煌表示，許里長一輩子都在為民服務的最前線耕耘付出，由下而上扛起守護里民的重擔；不但樂善好施、勤於公益，更曾獲頒全國好人好事代表的「八德獎」，許里長是公共利益的實踐者，十分值得肯定。
