為推廣CPR及哈姆立克急救技能，潮州消防隊於日前至潮州國中辦理CPR及哈姆立克急救技能教學，讓教師瞭解盡早急救的重要性，除了觀念推廣外，更需要藉由實際操作，若遇緊急狀況時方能不吝施予急救。
本次活動，係針對民眾版(叫叫CD)，第一叫（確認有無反應呼吸），第二叫（求救，請求旁人撥打119），C（胸外按壓），D（使用AED），過程中讓每位教師正確判斷撥打119求救電話時機，練習心肺復甦術操作，以正確執行CPR急救法﹔另亦講授哈姆立克清除口中異物，異物梗塞可能造成患者呼吸困難甚至造成死亡，若能及時急救，就能解除生命危險。
第二大隊長林國偉表示，期望透過持續辦理CPR及哈姆立克急救活動，能增加縣民學習意願，提升全民急救技能，讓民眾能在第一時間及早為自己的家人、朋友施救，也讓後續接手的專業救護人員能持續施行急救處置，共同提升傷病患的急救成功率。
