「蔓走福來，除蔓要快 屏東林區管理處小花蔓澤蘭防治月活動開跑」

林務局屏東林區管理處潮州工作站於新來義社區周邊舉辦小花蔓澤蘭及香澤蘭防治移除與收購宣導活動，現場與台糖屏東區處、新埤鄉萬隆村、新來義社區共約50人，共移除190.6公斤，並以發票或電池兌換原生種樹苗計100株，同時推廣外來種危害植物移除與種植原生種概念。

每年8月15日至9月15日為小花蔓澤蘭防治月，林務局屏東林管處規劃與政府單位、民間企業及社區發展協會等合作舉辦小花蔓澤蘭及香澤蘭拔除、防治及收購活動。今日潮州工作站首先開跑，攜手與台灣糖業公司屏東區處、新埤鄉萬隆村、新來義社區之民眾，宣導俗稱「綠癌」之小花蔓澤蘭危害，並以實際移除活動，加深民眾認知到小花蔓澤蘭與香澤蘭等容易侵入住家附近、農園周遭甚至鄰近森林內，進而擴散變成生物危害。另為推廣台灣原生樹種亦以發票或電池兌換植物纖維製成可生物分解對環境無害之玻璃紙包裝土球的台灣原生種金門赤楠、小葉厚殼樹、厚葉石斑木等樹苗，民眾領取苗木後可直接栽植進土壤中，既方便又減塑環保。
小花蔓澤蘭原產中南美洲，為菊科蔓澤蘭屬藤蔓草本植物，因生長快速致本土環境生態受威脅，被視為強勢外來入侵植物，主要分佈於低海拔廢耕農地、果園、山坡地等；每年10月至隔年2月為開花結果期，種子易趁此期間飛散傳播，所以亟需在開花結果、大量繁殖之前將它剷除，以達防治目的，防除方式以連根挖(拔)除，並避免植體殘留現場再度繁衍蔓延最為有效及省事。

為鼓勵全民投入除蔓行列，林務局全年均有辦理小花蔓澤蘭(含香澤蘭)植體收購，民眾可於每週二、四上午9時到12時，下午1時至4時至本處恆春、六龜、潮州、旗山工作站洽辦，收購價格每公斤5元，收購數量無上限。守護家園，人人有責，屏東林管處希冀與民眾共同一起除蔓，健全你我居住環境與周遭生態。
