為鼓勵鄉內傑出運動選手、優秀教練及團體，長治鄉公所每年定期舉辦體育日傑出選手及優秀教練表揚活動，因疫情緣故，今年特地移至學校辦理優秀選手及教練表揚。
今年榮獲表揚者為長治國中推薦吳育傑同學榮獲「111年全國中等學校運動會國男撐竿跳高獲得第一名」、及其指導教練葉健銘教練。
古佳川鄉長希藉由辦理99體育節表揚活動，提拔更多在地運動選手，在運動場上有更亮眼表現，提升運動水準，在國際間發光發熱。
