中秋佳節，為防範境外肉類製品、月餅等產品，透過快遞、郵包及自行攜帶等方式入境，移民署南區事務大隊屏東縣服務站特別選在中秋節前，前往屏東縣潮州鄉新住民創意市集宣導非洲豬瘟防疫資訊，除了結合現場新住民攤位協助用母語宣導非洲豬瘟資訊，更邀請民眾發揮想像力，繪製專屬的非洲豬瘟宣導胸章，以寓教於樂方式加深民眾印象，大家一起來守護臺灣豬。
來自泰國的新住民小麗，因為女兒喜歡佩佩豬，特別結合宣導主題繪製佩佩豬賞月胸章，當談到豬肉，小麗也直接豎起大拇指說：「臺灣豬肉超好吃，月餅、肉鬆都很美味，完全不需要再從家鄉帶過來」，她嫁來臺灣將近20年，對於臺灣的飲食口味已經很習慣，但有時也會想念自己家鄉的口味，下廚做幾道泰國特色菜，例如打拋豬飯(Pad Ga Prao)、泰式烤肉(Muu Grate)等，讓全家人享用美味的泰國家鄉菜。

越南新住民阿蓮在傳統市場販售越南料理及臺式滷味，今天特地到新住民市集擺攤，高超廚藝獲得民眾稱讚，阿蓮謙虛地說，剛嫁來臺灣時不太會料理，都是婆婆細心慢慢教導，之後熟能生巧，創作融合越南風味的創意料理，且她都使用新鮮的臺灣豬肉，肉質細膩卻不油膩，不論是製成春捲、越南粽還是豬雜凍等料理，都非常好吃，她也呼籲新住民及移工朋友，現在很多家鄉美食都可在臺灣自製或購買，便宜又衛生，千萬不要跨境網購或讓家人跨國郵寄肉類製品，以免受罰。
屏東縣服務站站主任黃仲傑表示，隨著入境旅客增加，近期發現多起外來人口攜帶家鄉豬肉、火腿腸入境的違規案例，其中部分個案因無力當場繳清高額罰鍰，移民署依規定拒絕入境。中秋佳節將近，提醒新住民及移工朋友務必轉告來臺的親友，切勿攜帶豬肉製品入境，違反規定將面臨高額罰鍰，甚至無法在臺灣團圓過中秋，同時也呼籲不可自國外郵寄肉類製品或購買來路不明的肉品，如果被查獲違規國際郵包，將依違規次數，對收件者處以最高新臺幣100萬元罰鍰，千萬不要以身試法。
