統一企業慈善事業基金會長期關懷偏鄉社區老人和偏鄉學童，長年贊助社區長輩共餐、偏鄉學校學童營養專案、才藝班、課輔班和獎助學金等。今年特結合集團內部之統一企業公司、統一超商、統一棒球隊(股)公司、統健實業(股)公司等四家企業，以及攜手鮮緹手作工坊、米蘭時尚髮型、蜜芝館勝利養蜂場、社團法人高雄市珕濟關懷協會、行政院雲嘉南區聯合服務中心、嘉義市宣信國小、南華大學、南台科技大學、嘉義縣新住民家庭服務中心、嘉義縣大埔新住民協會、社團法人台灣愛延續協會、聯合新印象舞稻團、西羅亞關懷協會、福池關懷協會、方塊吐司等十五家異業單位，共19個贊助團體，於10月2日在嘉義宣信國小，舉辦｢故鄉心 台灣情，新住民親子歡樂PARTY｣公益活動。

活動廣邀嘉義地區新住民服務中心暨本會長期贊助之才藝培力學校、課輔班和偏鄉學童營養專案學校之新住民家庭共約400人參加。這些新住民來自越南、印尼、大陸、柬埔寨、印度、馬來西亞、蒙古、斯里蘭卡、緬甸及南非等。活動規劃一連串新住民相關之美食與服飾攤位、闖關遊戲及文化體驗活動，讓新住民家庭之學童及其母親可以在台灣回味原國籍之特色文化、美食與服飾，並期在歡樂中感受台灣社會處處充滿愛與關懷。

基金會凃忠正總幹事表示，基金會秉持著「取之於社會、用之於社會」的理念，與落實關懷弱勢族群的公益政策，鼓勵同仁在工作之餘投身社會服務，傳達企業對於這些居住在偏鄉地區的新住民家庭的關切，並藉此拋磚引玉，以喚起社會大眾多關懷這些台灣新住民媽媽與學童，並展現台灣對新住民的文化包容。
