睽違16年再舉辦，2024台灣燈會在「臺南」！

交通部觀光局今(11)日正式宣布2024台灣燈會舉辦縣市，經行政院蘇貞昌院長核定，臺南市獲選2024台灣燈會舉辦縣市。
過去臺南縣市(未合併直轄市前)曾舉辦過三次臺灣燈會，分別為2005年及2006年臺南市舉辦，原臺南縣則是在2008年舉辦，睽違睽違16年臺灣燈會再次在臺南舉辦
而2024台灣燈會也適逢臺南建城400年，將以「臺南400光年」為題，初步規劃將串連臺南原有的燈會，以臺南高鐵特定區、安平為主，搭配月津港燈節、龍崎光節空山祭、普濟燈會、成功燈會、神農街燈會、馬沙溝燈節等既有知名燈節，期點亮南臺灣。
臺南市長黃偉哲再第一時間知道後開心的表示，感謝交通部觀光局與評選委員給臺南市政府機會，市府各局處將通力合作，全力以赴。臺南市政府觀光旅遊局郭貞慧局長也表示，臺南此次獲選2024主辦城市，距2008年舉辦台灣燈會至今已逾十餘年，將跨局處籌組燈會小組積極籌辦，讓臺南的城市國際能見度再上一層。
