黃偉哲投入3.8億守護台南海岸線 與NGO協力助1400隻黑琵來台南渡冬

台南市長黃偉哲重視海岸線防護及沙灘環境維護，4年來投入3.8億元復育沙洲及養灘，包括北門海埔地海岸、七股沙洲及南區黃金海岸等侵蝕嚴重區皆已呈現穩定趨勢；台南市政府並與轄內NGO團體共同協力保育黑面琵鷺，目前在台南的黑面琵鷺度冬族群已超過1400隻，不僅是全台最多，也佔全世界近四分之一，成為台南重要生態保育觀光資源。
黃偉哲表示，黑面琵鷺數量增加，代表了人類與大自然確實能共存，台南市政府這幾年努力推動生態保育的觀念行動，鼓勵市民有更多投入與關注，讓環境永續願景在台南深根茁壯。
台南市生態保育學會理事長邱仁武表示，今年第1隻來台度冬的黑面琵鷺，於9月飛抵七股黑面琵鷺保護區，隨著北風吹起，陸續有許多黑琵飛行2000多公里抵達台南，展開牠們為期8個月的度冬生活。
近年黑琵保育季活動吸引許多遊客、觀光客及愛鳥人士來台南追逐、觀賞及記錄黑琵曼妙舞姿。特別是四草保護區、七股頂山、學甲濕地及七股黑面琵鷺保護區等台南四大黑琵重要棲息，在例假日常湧現觀賞黑琵人潮。
黃偉哲上任後即非常重視台南轄內海岸線防護及沙灘環境維護，自2019年迄今，與中央合作改善海岸侵蝕及海岸環境，已投入經費約3.8億元，其中七股潟湖沙洲過去曾年平均退縮50公尺，2012至2016年退縮速度減少為每年6公尺，2016年至目前已呈現穩定趨勢；北門海埔地海岸、南區黃金海岸等侵蝕嚴重區，目前也已呈現穩定趨勢。
台南市政府表示，台南的海岸線綿延長達69.3公里，擁有豐富海洋資源與特色，包括國際級濕地及重要漁業養殖區，七股瀉湖、紅樹林、水鳥保護區及台江國家公園、雙春濱海遊憩區、雲嘉南濱海國家風景區、黃金海岸等，為了呼應「向海致敬」政策，市府從養殖漁業、漁村文化、社區創生及海洋體驗教育全面推動，連續4年在海洋教育評比獲特優，未來會繼續努力，與市民共同擦亮台南「海洋首都」的招牌。
