總統蔡英文動員令，立法委員陳亭妃與台南市議長郭信良在今（12）日新營舉辦「挺偉哲！挺18！」造勢活動，現場1.6萬人力挺，市長黃偉哲也現身與游錫堃、陳亭妃、郭信良同台，齊喊「凍蒜」營造台南綠營大團結。

黃偉哲表示，今天行程滿檔，仍要抽空來參加「挺黃偉哲挺18」活動，更進一步表示民進黨本來就應該團結，台灣、台南沒有分裂的本錢。

議長郭信良說，這次活動估計有1.6萬人來參加，小英發出動員令，全國黨員動起來，在游錫堃院長領軍下，挺18挺偉哲，讓台南成為得票率最高的縣市。同時郭信良更表示「綠營本來就大團結」，議會這三年多來與市府互動非常好，支持預算，黨政和諧，從來沒有衝突過，實質審查改變以往的抗爭，和諧的質詢改變以往暴力形象，所以台南才能成為全國評鑑第一名的議會。
