南科北外環3期道路與北園五路陸續通車 節省通勤時間

北外環快速道路建議路線
隨著南科周邊蓬勃發展，台積電等大廠的進駐讓它成為全球先進半導體製程的重鎮的同時，也使得周遭的聯外交通要道上下班尖峰時段車流相當壅塞,北外環3期道路與北園五路陸續通車後,橫向交通聯結可望獲得有效的改善,通勤族要多加利用這2條道路，以節省寶貴的通勤時間。
南科新闢道路北園五路建議路線
交通局局長王銘德表示，市長黃偉哲十分重視南科通勤路線的交通問題改善，指示市府積極興建道路並與中央合作增闢聯外道路來讓市民多加利用，以近期完成的北外環三期為例，即提供一條由安南區快速通往南科的便捷道路，減少通勤時間，且避免汽車行駛平面河堤道路與機車混合爭道問題，經統計該道路通車一個多月以來，上下班時段的車流雖逐漸增多，但還大幅低於這條道路設計的車流容量，所以這是一條相當方便的道路，市民可多加利用。
局長王銘德指出，北外環3期和北園五路的通車對於南科通勤族而言是一大福音，呼籲市民朋友多加利用，以節省寶貴的通勤時間，交通局另已爭取交通部經費補助，目前正建置安定交流道及市道178線的自動號誌系統，預計112年底前也可完成，短期已先增加178線的紅綠燈週期來紓解市道178壅塞現象。
交通局表示，北外環3期快速道路於10月18日正式通車，沿鹽水溪北岸布設，西起台江大道銜接第2期工程，東至南科聯絡道銜接第1期工程。主線快速高架道路主要提供汽車通行，雙向各設置2快車道，由台江大道往東直通南科聯絡道，而橋下平面道路則提供機車駕駛沿鹽水溪北岸行駛，自台江大道、長和路一段、永安路經由大洲一號橋後直達南科聯絡道往返南科，或是經由大洲產業道路北轉接新港社大道進入南科，作為提供避開永康交流道、台1線中正北路等易壅塞路段的重要替代路線，單趟通勤可節省約10分鐘以上的行車時間，尤其對於安南區與永康區的市民而言，更能享受地利之便。
交通局說，工務局開闢的安定區北園五路，則於11月15日正式通車，自安定、善化、麻豆等地區前往南科的車輛，可由北園五路直接進入南科，不必再繞道直加弄大道及南科七路，是下國道1號安定交流道後，接續市道178線進入南科的主要聯絡道路之一，也能適度改善烏橋中路車多壅塞、車流交織的狀況。
交通局後續仍會持續透過大臺南智慧交通中心觀察北外環周邊的路口車流狀況，並加強與分局的橫向合作，透過疏導指揮、號誌秒數即時調控等方式提升車流紓解率，共同努力打造更良好的行車環境。
