柳營奇美醫院舉辦植樹活動
近年來環保議題備受關注，柳營奇美醫院長期愛護家園、守護地球的行動從不間斷，特於8日上午植樹節前夕，在院區滯洪池畔舉辦「植樹、環保、愛地球」綠美化活動，由院長黃順賢帶領院內同仁，一起種下首次植栽的花旗木及小花黃蟬，現場亦由台南市政府農業局提供參與人員小苗木，象徵著永續發展希望的幼苗散播出去，落實節能減碳及綠化生態環境，將環保愛地球理念延續蔓延。
黃順賢院長表示，為響應政府的環境保護政策，以打造綠色醫院，營造健康安全環境為目標，連續五年榮獲行政院環境保護署「國家企業環保獎」，肯定我們長期對環保工作的貢獻和努力。此外，對於醫院環境綠美化也不遺餘力，經過多年的植栽、整理及藝術裝置，現已能隨時看到生氣蓬勃、井然有致的景色。希望藉由綠意盎然的環境，提供病人身、心、靈整合的醫療照護服務，同時也讓同仁們有一個友善、安全、美麗的工作環境。

柳營奇美醫院不同於其他醫院的特別之處，就是擁有一個廣闊的綠地，經由持續不間斷綠美化，從最初的一片荒蕪空地，逐步引進多種花草喬木進駐，其中有來自於奇美農場的喬木，以及本土原生相關花卉樹種，如︰「紅花風鈴木」又名洋紅風鈴木，粉紅色的球狀花朵一團一團奼紫嫣紅，讓人有春暖花開的感覺；「大花紫薇」則是夏季開花的粉紅喬木，散發出炎熱般的粉紅熱情，花語為幸運與福氣；「落羽松」是秋冬季節會變色觀葉喬木，所謂的一葉落知天下秋，富有秋意漸濃的感覺；還有葉形似芸香科的「黃皮喬木(水黃皮)」，由於樹性強健且耐風吹，故又有「九重吹」之稱，垂落的茂盛枝葉就像一枝傘，在夏季能遮住熾熱的陽光，冬季能擋住凜冽的北風。在一年春夏秋冬四季時間，都能在院區內欣賞由不同花朵與喬木所呈現出色彩繽紛的天然圖畫。
總務室主任黃勝春表示，柳營火車站站前「老茄苳樹」移植入駐也增添園區甚多光彩。由於站前轉乘環境優化改善工程的關係，原要被砍伐的老茄苳樹，經由台南市政府公共運輸處及柳營區公所的共同努力奔波下，同意轉贈至本院持續養護，使高齡茄苳樹得以持續活化，落實本院「環境永續」之理念。同時，院區內設有幾座裝置藝術，皆是來自於與醫院合作的園藝廠商的巧手布置，老闆許倉原先生親自利用廢棄物及竹子，再搭配園區花木，創造出療癒的生態環境，讓在醫院就醫的病人、民眾及院內工作同仁，不僅有視覺上的享受，也能撫慰心靈，若有來柳營奇美醫院，不妨來趟院區巡禮。
