民進黨今將正式提名賴清德參選總統（圖＿賴清德臉書）。
民進黨今(4/12)下午將召開中執會，正式提名黨主席賴清德為2024總統參選人，並將於中執會後舉行提名記者會，賴清德將親自發表談話，在總統蔡英文出訪邦交國以及中國大規模軍演之下，賴清德會如何回應兩岸情勢，備受關注。
日前，美國眾議院外交委員會主席麥考爾（Michael McCaul）率領跨黨派議員訪團， 賴清德曾表示：「 面對複雜國際情勢，未來也希望台灣能進一步團結，並和理念相近的夥伴加深合作，共同捍衛民主與和平。 」 呼應他之前說過的「守護主權確保民主和平」。今日於中執會上是否會針對國際外交發表相關談話，也是一大看點。
據了解，今日中執會除了會正式提名賴清德代表民進黨參選2024總統外，也將審查2024年第11屆區域立委提名初選登記候選人資格，以及處理停辦民意調查、同意協調退選相關事項等作業。
