邁入第22屆的「2023 Tainan May Jam 台南五月音樂季」即將在5月6日及5月7日連續兩天在新化虎頭埤風景區登場，今年請來了共28組來自在台各國音樂表演者及地下獨立樂團接力演出。市府於今24日舉辦記者會，由來自德國創辦人Axel帶來暖身表演，表演曲子靈感來自於台南漁光島，並表示自己很喜歡台南，可以的話想要有雙重國籍，希望大家一同支持多元音樂文化，誠摯邀請大家來虎頭埤風景區體驗台南本土音樂節。
黃偉哲市長表示，對於一年一度的五月音樂季，非常感佩來自德國卻這麼熱愛台南的Mr.Axel，20多年來的持續推動。
黃偉哲市長表示，對於一年一度的五月音樂季，非常感佩來自德國卻這麼熱愛台南的Mr.Axel，20多年來的持續推動，今年兩天音樂季活動一樣集結了許多居住在台灣的外籍優秀音樂表演者共同演出，將帶來最在地、又最具異國風情的表演，在此邀請全國各地的好朋友踴躍參加。
創辦人Axel致詞時表示，從年輕的英俊少年到至今英俊老少年已經在台南舉辦音樂季22年了，一開始不被看好到現在廣受大家喜愛，今年從約200多組報名樂團中精選出28組各具特色的獨立樂團要帶給大家最棒的表演，除了樂團以外，還有安排藝文活動，包括攀樹體驗、手摺造型氣球、純植物防蚊香塔、瑜珈、非洲鼓及舞蹈教學等工作坊，有興趣的朋友們可到官網報名預約。
