為迎接每年三大節慶之一的端午佳節，端午節除了吃粽子、划龍舟外，還有許多富含意義的傳統活動，南市府特地結合傳統市場舉辦系列活動迎端午!自6月10日起至6月18日止規劃8場限定活動，水仙宮市場(6/10)與開元市場(6/17)消費就送粽(規則依各市場規定，送完為止)、西港市場(6/17)彩繪蛋與趣味立蛋、下營市場(6/18)萌萌香包DIY等活動，還有快閃送50元市場券活動，如仁德市場(6/11)、歸仁市場(6/11)、佳里中山市場(6/15)、新營市三市場(6/18)，活動詳請可上「臺南市市場巡禮FB粉專」查詢，等你來參加!
推廣傳統習俗就從傳統市場開始
台南市長黃偉哲說，台南府城蘊含濃厚文化傳統，推廣傳統習俗就從傳統市場開始，傳統市場就是一處接地氣的社會學校，提供市民朋友認識各節氣的食材、應景料理與各種民生體驗，市府特透過傳統市場場域與端午節連結，透過立蛋、香包DIY等活動，以簡易輕鬆富含趣味方式推廣傳統節日，讓民眾了解端午節及其相關習俗與背後含意，達到寓教於樂的效果。
經發局長林榮川表示，南市府市場處為讓民眾方便採買端午應景粽子，特整理出「名粽地圖」，邀請大家一同來到臺南各市場選購美味且價格公道的粽子。端午節許多市場攤商會推出各家好手藝包的隱藏版古早味台南粽，口味多元，顆顆結實、餡料飽滿，如仁德市場「俗俗賣蔬菜水果攤」肉粽、菜粽、隱藏在開元市場的「連芳綿手工五穀粽」、麻豆市五市場裡的「雲記粽子」更是不可錯過的當地名粽!更多「名粽地圖」資訊可上「臺南市市場巡禮FB粉專」查詢。
市場處處長陳豪吉表示，市場處近期積極推動傳統市場轉型，傳統市場除了提供民眾日常所需採買，也可以是辦理社區活動與居民連結的場域，在這裡民眾與市場攤商可以廣泛交流共同提升，未來傳統市場有的不僅是人情味，還將加強各種軟硬體的提升，期能提供市民運作健全且完善，不一樣的傳統市場!
