臺南市自6月12日仁德區出現今年首例本土登革熱個案，截至6月30日已累計7區116例。臺南市政府預先規劃於仁德區鄰近區域築起防火牆，如今因應疫情持續增溫，區域聯防範圍擴大至傳出疫情之7個行政區，由鄰近區域及市府各局處總動員，全力進行環境孳清與化學防治等工作，期能藉由更彈性的人力調配支援疫區，有效防堵登革熱繼續擴散。

臺南市長黃偉哲強調「料敵從寬、禦敵從嚴」，防疫如同作戰，最講究的就是時效，每出現一例確診病例，即代表環境中仍存在病媒蚊，病媒蚊終身帶病毒，只要存活就有極大可能傳染登革熱病毒給其他健康的人。
有鑑於確診個案與日俱增，孳清需求範圍不斷擴大，人力需求大增，市府民政局規劃了跨區支援工作，輪調非疫區人員到疫情熱區支援孳清。七月份首週例假日熱區「防疫清潔日」，即由民政局及所轄25單位、45人力協助環境清消，為日後各行政區之跨區聯防預為準備。

民政局長姜淋煌表示，為加強環境孳清量能，適當的人力調度支援，除可促進跨區合作協調，提高登革熱防控的總體效能，更確保各區登革熱防治工作能適時地受到支援與協助，最大程度減少疫情擴散的風險。

姜淋煌亦再次呼籲市民朋友，加強自身防蚊措施，盡量穿著淺色長袖長褲，並適時使用經衛生福利部核可之防蚊藥劑，更要落實清除室內外孳生源、掃除積水容器「巡、倒、清、刷」之工作，才是防範登革熱的根本之道。
