台積電放棄進駐龍潭園區三期 將持續尋求適合建廠用地

台積電宣布不會進駐龍科三期（圖＿資料畫面）。
龍潭科學園區第三期擴建案引發社會關注和居民反彈。近日，反龍潭科學園區第三期擴建案自救會（以下簡稱自救會）、竹科管理局和台積電進行三方會談後，傳出台積電決定放棄原本在該擴建案內的設廠計畫，不過台積電一直未正式對外回應。
今日，台積電正式對外宣布，經內部評估後，在現階段條件下不再考慮進駐龍潭園區三期。台積電強調，將維持過去擴廠步調，持續與管理局合作評估台灣適合半導體建廠的用地。
台積電指出，園區規劃為政府權責，公司尊重居民及主管機關，無法進一步評論土地徵收一事。唯經公司評估後，在現階段條件下，不再考慮進駐龍潭園區三期。
龍潭園區擴建計畫基地位於桃園市龍潭區，原先規劃土地共158.59公頃，計劃供2奈米（暨以下）技術的研發與量產進駐，預估將提供約5900個就業機會。自救會表示，當中有138.95公頃（約88%）將徵收私人土地，受影響家庭達160戶、影響約3000人，甚至要拆遷學生人數仍有200多人的德龍國小，對當地居民生活造成嚴重衝擊。
