民眾關切的Novavax疫苗，嘉義縣首批8500劑預計於7月8日配送至衛生局，將提供18歲以上民眾第1、2劑基礎劑、基礎加強劑，及第1次第2次追加劑接種，每劑接種0.5 ml，將採電話預約方式辦理接種，7月11日起於各鄉鎮市衛生所提供服務，欲接種民眾請先電洽衛生所。

縣長翁章梁呼籲，國內疫情趨緩，但BA.5跟BA.4已在歐美國家形成另一波疫情，確診病例成長了20%，所幸境外移入病例都已在入境時篩檢攔截，民眾仍不可輕忽，打疫苗是關鍵防疫要素。
衛生局長趙紋華指出，Novavax疫苗每瓶10劑，為避免疫苗浪費，採電話預約方式辦理，7月11日起於各鄉鎮市衛生所提供服務，欲接種民眾請先電洽衛生所。提醒民眾平時應落實戴口罩、勤洗手、避免不必要群聚，維持正常作息，注意均衡營養及規律運動，才能強化免疫力，相關疫苗接種服務可上嘉義縣衛生局網站查詢。
