西拉雅風管處的「官田行政暨遊客中心」在2020年啟用後，就以特殊的建築造型，加上廣闊的大草原、親近大自然的環境，成為遊客青睞的新景點，曾到過這兒的網友說，在這兒拍照取景，要拍出美美的照片真的是so easy，沒有來過這裡的朋友，還不快找時間來走走！

不說不知道，寬闊的「官田行政暨遊客中心」前身原來可是國軍舊有的野戰訓練場，西拉雅管理處處長徐振能說，園區運用基地原有地形以綠建築融入山坡地景的配置方式，保留大部分原有地形及老樹，特殊色彩及文化意象的建築，結合水圳及景觀水池，飛簷式折版構架屋頂，日前更獲得2022年公共建築景觀類建築園冶獎的肯定。
官田遊客中心設計靈感來自西拉雅文化，把西拉雅族祀壺文化融合成建築的弧形牆面，並利用西拉雅族刺繡花型及服飾色彩妝點外觀，園區保留11公頃基地，原有的丘陵地形以半覆土式建築設計遊客中心，可直達2樓展示空間及戶外無邊際水池，視野開闊，後方則是著名的西拉雅大草原，營造出休憩活動氛圍，深受親子喜愛。

此外，跟上節能減碳的趨勢，官田行政暨遊客中心就是棟綠建築，採大面積的綠化量、保水透水鋪面、節能及水資源回收設備，裝設太陽能發電設備，可節省25%的用電量。

徐振能說，官田行政暨遊客中心除了是管理處的新家，也是適合全家大小休憩的好去處，附近還有菱波官田自行車道，串聯官田烏山頭水庫、八田與一紀念園區、水雉生態教育園區、隆田文化資產教育園區等，帶動地區的觀光發展，也大大提升區域環境品質。
