中正棒球小將赴美參賽缺資金 台鋼雄鷹義氣相挺

以高雄市中正國小為班底的高雄市代表隊，取得美國小馬聯盟（PONY)野馬級（11-12歲組）世界少棒錦標賽的國家代表權，7月底即將赴美國德州參賽。但因經費需自行籌措，在高市府、教育部體育署、相關單位贊助後，經費仍短缺100萬元，所幸落腳高雄的職棒第6隊台鋼雄鷹相挺，願協助不足款項，陳其邁市長日前親自前往中正國小棒球場，替大熱天下揮汗練習的小朋友們加油打氣，也告知好消息。
今年5月，以中正國小為主體的高雄市代表隊，在TOTO盃全國少棒錦標賽勇奪冠軍，獲得美國小馬聯盟(PONY)野馬級（11-12歲組）世界少棒錦標賽的國家代表權，所需出國經費約需新台幣300萬元。
除教育局、教育部體育署等相關單位補助外，高市府努力協調與爭取外界資源，而台鋼集團、台鋼雄鷹職業棒球隊得知訊息後，為培養出更多的高雄在地選手、支持三級棒球，全力協助贊助不足款項，促成本次小選手前進美國小馬聯盟世界少棒錦標賽的夢想。
陳其邁市長日前到中正國小棒球場關心時，告知小選手們這個好消息，球隊不用再擔心比賽經費，全力專心練球前進世界少棒錦標賽，小選手們也予以熱情回應；教育局局長謝文斌表示，今年7/28-8/1，小選手們即將在美國德州比賽，高市府將繼續提供必要協助，也歡迎大家一起為高雄市代表隊加油。
中正國小校長吳軒銘感謝市長、教育局與運發局等局處單位對代表隊的經費補助與協調爭取，讓代表隊無需擔心經費，將勤加練習，希望繼2016、2018後，第三度拿到世界冠軍，為國爭光、也回報給予支持的每一個人。
