嘉義市首批嬰幼兒莫德納疫苗，預計7月21日開打，民眾可於嘉義市25家COVID-19疫苗合約醫療院所預約接種(含7家隨到隨打診所)，考量家長帶嬰幼兒接種的方便性，協調9家合約院所於平常日晚上共提供36診次夜診服務；假日由13家院所提供29診次接種服務。7/24(週日)由東、西區兩區衛生所於8:30-11:30加開門診提供集中服務。
嘉義市衛生局表示，此批疫苗開放滿6個月至5歲(未滿6歲)嬰幼兒接種，每人需接種2劑，兩劑間隔4-8週以上。相關接種訊息請至衛生局網站/主題專區/ COVID-19疫苗專區查詢。
衛生局提醒，接種疫苗是避免COVID-19感染及降低因感染造成之重症、住院或死亡風險最有效的方法，請民眾前往接種COVID-19疫苗時，應備妥健保卡或其他可證明身分之證件，如為接種第2劑或追加劑COVID-19疫苗者，請記得攜帶「COVID-19疫苗接種紀錄卡」，並向醫護人員說明過往疫苗接種史，以利醫師評估，共同維護社區健康。
