WBSC世界盃少棒錦標賽7/29台南熱血開賽 全國球迷一起為中華隊加油！

「2021第六屆U-12世界盃棒球錦標賽」（VI WBSC U12 Baseball World Championship），將於明（7月29日）天至8月7日，在台南市亞太國際棒球訓練中心舉行，台南市政府今（28）日特別舉辦開賽記者會，由市長黃偉哲為這屆賽事揭開序幕，世界棒壘球總會執行長Michael Schmidt、中華棒球協會理事長辜仲諒、體育署參事葉丁鵬及多位民代也到場共襄盛舉，一同替中華隊好手加油。

今年賽事強手如雲，來自世界11支國家代表隊包含台灣、墨西哥、多明尼加、巴拿馬、委內瑞拉、美國、捷克、義大利、日本、韓國及南非，各國少棒好手將齊聚台南爭奪金盃，一同角逐世界少棒的最高榮譽。7月29日晚間6點30分開幕戰首戰，中華隊即將對戰巴拿馬，台南市長黃偉哲邀請全國球迷一起為中華隊加油，也為其他來自全球五大洲10支國家代表隊喝采。

市長黃偉哲指出，台南被視為重要的少棒發展地，連續承辦世界盃賽事深具意義，台南市很高興能代表台灣主辦這項賽事。自2015年承辦至今，台南已是第4度承辦賽事，而這屆賽事原訂於去年7月要舉行，因疫情攪局延到今年辦理，成為國內疫情爆發後辦理的第一場國際賽事。

黃偉哲表示，感謝世界棒壘球總會、中華棒球協會鼎力相助，以及教育部、地方的全力支持，國人都非常期待中華小將有好成績，能發揮地主隊的優勢把冠軍獎盃台灣。希望藉著這場國際賽事，不僅讓孩子們學習到更好的技術，也能交到好朋友；同時也期盼將來能舉辦更多國際比賽，讓更多外國選手到台灣交流，大家共同創造善意的局面。

台南承辦世界少棒賽，最大的亮點，就是透過親善學校展現台南的熱情與古都的美，今年雖因疫情影響，取消接機及學生與外國小球員文化交流的互動活動，但各校學生仍透過手作別具台南特色的加油小物及伴手禮，今日也記者會也特別呈現手繪加油旗，為各個參賽國家獻上最誠摯的祝福。

體育局表示，台南市政府將扮演好地主城市的角色，動員全市府投入籌備工作，全力規劃一場更精彩的優質賽事，與大家一起來迎接這場國際盛事，7月29日歡迎大家到台南共襄盛舉，一起為少棒好手加油，為賽事加油。
