第六屆WBSC世界盃少棒錦標賽，今日為賽程的最後一日，中華隊將與多明尼加爭奪季軍，賽前統一獅新生代火球男古林睿煬，到場送丹丹漢堡為小朋友加油打氣，同時中信兄弟球員詹子賢、宋晟睿也到場替球員們加油。
今日先發吳聖智同時也擔任中華隊的第一棒開路先鋒，在開局雖然在被多明尼加盜本壘先失一分，但在一下隨即靠著中華隊陳瑞鑫與陳柏笙的「雙陳連線」連續兩支二壘安打，追回一分雙方戰成平手。
二下，中華隊1:2落後多明尼加，壘上二三壘有人，此時靠著二刀流吳聖智一棒三分打點的全壘打，讓比數數間變成4:2，逆轉反超多明尼加，但此時天空也下起大雨，比賽也因雨暫停。
比賽恢復後，雖然被多明尼加打出三分砲遭到反超，但陳陳瑞鑫隨即開轟將比數追平，隨後在四五兩局，添加四分的保險分，最後以9:5收下勝利，也奪下本屆WBSC世界盃少棒錦標賽的季軍。
