民眾前往連鎖賣場或超商購物雖然方便，但與傳統市場相比，總少了點人情味跟名攤朝聖的期待感，為了讓民眾感受台南傳統市場魅力，台南市政府市場處從8/20到9/3連續5個周末，選在新化、鹽水、鴨母寮、東菜市及西門淺草等5處，舉辦「台南樂活市集小旅行－跟著美味去旅行」，市長黃偉哲也邀請大家一起到台南「迺菜市、呷好料！」

台南市長黃偉哲說，台南的美食很多都來自巷弄、菜市場，且聚落的形成、小吃的發展，很多都是從傳統市場開始，小旅行活動由台南人領路，帶大家走訪傳統市場，品嘗在地隱藏版美食、體驗市場周邊文化風情，他也舉自己曾到麻豆市場買碗粿撲空為例，形容市場美食攤商很有個性，值得一遊。
經發局局長陳凱凌指出，疫情後為振興傳統市場商機，南市府持續辦理活動，包括邀請民眾上網票選推薦心目中的米其林市場、名攤，樂活市集名攤超星海選、市場小旅遊活動等，都在8月開跑，邀民眾到台南迺菜市、吃隱藏美食，體驗更多台南人的日常，也能上網票選台南特色的傳統市集與名攤，參加投票還能參加抽獎把買菜金帶回家。
市場處處長陳豪吉說，台南市場小旅行活動結合網紅拍照熱點、台南必去老街、與神同行小風神神怪路線以及各類台南美食，有吃有玩，每場限30名，報名網址洽https://reurl.cc/W1XvE9，更多活動內容資訊民眾也可到「台南市市場巡禮」臉書專頁查詢。
