中元節普渡慶典「嘉義縣民雄鄉大士爺祭」即將盛大舉行，今由嘉義縣長翁章梁、民雄鄉長何嘉恒等貴賓一同出席宣傳記者會，宣布8月18日起連續三天，2022嘉義好神「福氣臨門‧平安歸」大士爺祭福氣登場，今年特別打造「天顏傘平安街」，讓人人可化身網美，拍照打卡保平安。

大士爺祭將於8月15日由福祿壽三仙，引領25隊近千人共同迎大士踩街遊行，於民雄市區沿路發放福氣平安糖，要讓全「嘉」收到福氣與平安。8月18日至20日「大士爺祭」活動，包含「好神演藝」邀請知名現代國樂團「無双樂團」、金曲最佳樂團「神棍樂團」及最有活力的「嗨翻女孩」輪番上陣。
翁章梁縣長、民雄鄉長何嘉恒、嘉義縣文化觀光局局長許有仁、大士爺廟董事長周漳炎等人宣布，本次慶典安排許多活動讓民眾參與，如「好神淨福」平安門，搭配平安符淨水為民眾消災解惡；「好神逗趣」擲聖筊拿限量999個「平安龜」，再刮50吋電視、14吋立扇等250個好禮，活動精采豐富，一年一度不容錯過。
翁章梁表示，大士爺祭每年都湧進眾多人潮，是農曆七月重要的普渡活動，每年只有三天限定，能在大士爺祭能看到高九尺三吋的大士爺神像。此外民雄大士爺「蘭盆勝會」也呼應主題，特別訂製以創意摺紙方式製成的金閃閃平安龜，讓金紙龜王為全嘉祈福，祈禱平安好運一整年。

文觀局長許有仁表示，民雄大士爺祭為嘉義縣重要文化資產，也是全臺知名普渡祭典，每年週邊攤位賣傘攤位高達20攤，也形成獨特的「雨傘節」文化。為此規劃「大士爺祈福趣—天顏拍照打卡牆」、「大士爺保平安—天顏傘平安街」等裝置藝術，巧妙呈現在地人文特色，民眾皆可以在此拍照打卡保平安。

「慶祝大士爺誕辰，舉辦祭祀大典」活動辦理期間人潮擁擠、週邊停車不易，鼓勵民眾搭乘大眾運輸工具，交通部臺灣鐵路管理局特別於活動期間(8月18日至8月20日)加開1班嘉義-斗六區間列車往返，北上152車次、南下521、149車次增停民雄站，詳情可至交通部臺灣鐵路管理局、嘉義縣公共汽車管理處網站查詢。另外，8月15日起至8月21日止，民雄鄉嘉81線及嘉106線等路段雙向車道封閉，周邊也將進行交通管制，詳細相關活動訊息可上「嘉義縣文化觀光局」臉書查詢。
