嘉義城隍夜巡周六登場 攜手台東寒單爺遶境祈福

「城隍夜巡 夯枷解厄」將於本週六(27日)舉行，今年嘉義城隍爺邀請台東寒單爺共同遶境祈福（圖：嘉義市政府提供）
有百年歷史的國定古蹟嘉邑城隍廟，每年農曆八月初一，鬼門關後首日，皆遵循古禮舉辦「城隍夜巡 夯枷解厄」活動，今年將於本週六(27日)舉行。除城隍爺起駕遶境嘉義市外，今年還邀請全國知名的台東玄武堂「炮炸寒單爺」，首度跨縣市聯手共同驅逐肺炎疫情，祈求國泰民安，今年更復辦「人模鬼樣 神鬼魅影」裝扮競賽，廣邀年輕朋友發揮創意，一同參與宗教慶典，為傳統民俗增添新意。

嘉邑城隍廟董事長賴永川表示，「城隍夜巡」活動遵循傳統，在城隍爺坐鎮下出巡，沿途將有古裝隊伍、陣頭表演，以及象徵懺悔消災的民眾「夯枷祈福」儀式，早在活動前便有不少外地民眾報名參加。今年也在自由路與友忠路口，以及文化公園廣場等地，安排進行「城隍掃路角」儀式，淨化路口保平安，安定民心。

台東玄武堂今年也應邀共襄盛舉，「炮炸寒單爺」跨域發威，與嘉邑城隍爺聯手驅逐瘟疫，祈求疫情早日遠離，國泰民安。這也是「炮炸寒單爺」首次跨縣市參加遶境炮炸祈福，遶境路線預計於下午2點15分抵達嘉義市政府前、晚上6點45分智選假日酒店、7點15分蚵庄海產餐廳、7點45分文化公園廣場，最精彩的「站雙車 炸寒單」將於晚上9點30分在城隍廟首次驚艷演出。廟方呼籲，五個據點皆會帶來精采演出，民眾可避免聚集在城隍廟，以免造成壅塞，今年也因為考量疫情，而取消躦轎腳活動。

嘉義市保留並發揚百年宗教傳統民俗，廟方也期待透過「城隍夜巡諸羅城」活動宣揚宗教教化人心的精神，以精采的活動內容，吸引全國民眾共同參與嘉義市在地的城隍歷史文化。
