《球星世界》曾經也是「禁區野獸」 「最靈活胖子」王柏智新賽季要找回POWER

P.LEAGUE+高雄鋼鐵人中鋒王柏智的體型很難讓人不注意到他，在HBL、UBA賽場上更是靠著身材肆虐禁區，高中時還有「基商歐尼爾」的封號，進入職籃後動輒面對2公尺以上的大型洋將，先天優勢不再，但靠著籃球智商解讀球賽，又有心臟大顆的特點，還是能完成教練交代的任務，也被媒體形容是「最靈活胖子」；新賽季即將到來，他開始控制飲食，少喝含糖飲料，也少吃油炸食物，調整體重加上好好鍛練，要找回昔日的禁區破壞力。

看起來憨厚老實的王柏智，其實曾經是師長眼中的「問題學生」，還好國二時恩師林月華將他拉進籃球隊，排解少年無處宣洩的旺盛精力，這一步不但讓他人生轉回正軌，靠著不間斷的努力、家人的支持，現在也踏上賽場，成為一名職業籃球運動員，王柏智說「媽媽都會透過IG關注我的表現。」
從國中乙組到高中甲組，一開始在基隆商工的籃球路並不順遂，與國中甲組上來的隊友就是有差別，一年級連正選都上不了，後來適應系統性的正規訓練，開始大放異彩，接下來的高中兩年在HBL賽場上發揮禁區宰制力與破壞力，變成對手的噩夢，「基商歐尼爾」的封號也不脛而走。

在國立體大的四年，是奠定王柏智踏上職業之路的關鍵，他透過重訓大幅提升身體素質，大三時與學長陳昱瑞、周暐宸、潘向挺等一起拿到UBA冠軍，打出成績、與職業球隊切磋、交流，都讓他開始思考未來朝向職業籃球之路前進，教練桑茂森也建議他增加外線火力，可惜大四因傷所困，當啦啦隊的時間遠比上場時間多。
進入職籃後，以往在禁區肆虐的他場上也受到震撼教育，面對動輒2公尺高又速度靈活的洋將，絲毫討不到便宜，比「漢草」也不見得有優勢，在一次季前訓練賽時，遇上超重量級的「辛巴」，直接就被撞倒在地上，也讓他開始思考自己的優缺點，加強鍛鍊，畢竟職籃賽場很現實，機會稍縱即逝，沒有後悔的時間。

轉戰高雄鋼鐵人後，隨著上場時間增加，王柏智的數據也有所進步，繳出6.5分、4.1籃板的數據，也曾經在面對新竹攻城獅的比賽中，斬獲25分、6籃板的亮眼成績，還拿下聯盟的單週MVP。
不少網友喜歡針對王柏智酸言酸語，對此他說不會放在心上，也不會有情緒起伏，他就是做好自己份內的事，其他就順其自然，只要在球場上能有好表現，就對得起自己的努力。
