嘉市北香湖公園環境再造工程開工 「綠豆仁」遊戲場成新亮點

在清代有諸羅八景美稱，同時也是嘉義市第2大公園的北香湖公園今(30)日舉行環境再造工程暨入口意象改善工程開工典禮，由嘉義市長黃敏惠及多位市議員、里長和嘉義市景觀總顧問許晉誌與工程施作團隊等貴賓一同參與，祈求工程施作順利圓滿、人員平安。未來北香湖公園入口處將打造具地方特色、融入「全齡共享」通用概念的「綠豆仁遊戲場」，並透過新植荷花及植栽方式，重現「北香秋荷」風華，預計於明年四月完工啟用，帶給市民更優質的遊憩空間。

黃敏惠市長表示，市府積極推動「公園2.0計劃」打造友善全齡的空間，塑造有特色的主題公園。再升級的北香湖公園重將現諸羅八景中「北香秋荷」的樣貌，以新植1265平方公尺面積的荷花，重現七十年前北香湖美景，創造親水的自然遊憩空間。公園設計更融入通用設計，以便利全齡使用的友善步道、無障礙空間迎接所有市民，打造亮眼的「綠意生活+」城市公園品牌。

回想過去爭取經費「找回北香湖」的艱辛歷程，到如今見證北香湖公園的再升級，黃敏惠市長感謝市民一路以來與市府並肩努力「堅持做對的事」，才得以闢建平日提供市民景觀休憩，於汛期滯洪防災如此具前瞻性的公園，更期許再造後的北香湖公園提供跨世代及族群「全齡共享 世代宜居」，讓所有人共好的空間。

此外，本次工程中的另一大亮點為增設以「綠豆仁」為特色的友善遊戲場。市府建設處長田長沛表示，遊戲場的設計靈感來自於「綠豆嘉義人」，採用「綠豆仁」的形象作為平臺， 傳達綠豆經由吸取北香湖湖水慢慢長大發出綠葉， 破土而出的意涵。遊戲場上層設有編織網區的彈性空間，並設有3公尺長的滑梯區、共融友善下層沙坑區及楓香步道，全區夜間越夜越美，打造親子遊憩的好去處，符合廣大居民使用。
