沈光文先師誕辰410週年種菊祈福活動

為感念開臺文化祖師沈光文於明清時期教化臺灣先民的貢獻，台南市善化區公所於沈公農曆誕辰(9月24日)之前二週例假日111年10月8日(星期六)上午10時整，於善化火車站北高架橋下之沈光文紀念碑舉辦禮敬與「種菊」(與「中舉」同音)祈福活動。
種菊祈福儀式發想自「庭前種菊可以祈求高中科舉」的俗語，從沈光文詩作中可以看出，他尤喜菊花的風骨，是以，於其紀念碑前種菊，更是別具祈福與禮敬的意義。
公所今年配合沈光文文創競賽-「住」之主題，辧理沈公創意繪畫比賽，以古之書苑為繪畫設計方向，進行藝術創作，希藉此獎勵及培育繪畫人才，展現沈公的儒生風範，深化大眾對臺灣孔子的印象。
善化區長方澤心表示：在禮敬開臺文化祖師沈光文的儀軌中，從禮敬開始到敲響鰲魚鐘、擊鼓、站上鰲頭，向許願池許願等儀式設計，分別代表熬出頭、一鼓作氣、獨占鰲頭之意。
臺南市黃偉哲市長特別重視本項活動，特請王副秘書長揚智代表參加禮敬及種菊祈福儀式，也欣賞了沈光文文創家飾設計競賽及創意繪畫展，參加者極為踴躍，現場活動熱閙非凡，讓民眾體驗有別於一般傳統科儀之祭祀活動外，也讓大眾更了解沈先師的生平事蹟。
