南大附小彩虹斑馬志工隊進行兩天一夜戶外教育自主學習課程，前往南投集集和高雄旗山感受從日治至國民政府時期，台灣香蕉王國昔日的風采，再到當前全國香蕉最大產區屏東，拜訪開發超商香蕉單隻販售市場的藝隆農產負責人余致榮，經訪談後，學生驚呼一根香蕉祕辛多。

指導老師陳怡均表示，過去日本人在集集試種香蕉，竹簍上印有「チ」，代表產自集集（チチ）的山蕉，深受日本好評，開啟台灣香蕉王國美名，國民政府時期旗山憑藉著地質及氣候優勢，加上高雄港運銷日本之便，將香蕉產業推向頂峰。學生劉芷伊說，在集集的集元果香蕉觀光工廠不僅見證香蕉的發展史，也看見多種奇特的香蕉，其中果指連在一起像蛤蜊的「蛤仔蕉」最讓人難忘。

師生一踏進旗山老街，沿路販售香蕉乾、香蕉手工蛋捲、香蕉蛋糕、香蕉冰紅茶的店家林立，喚起旗山往日「香蕉故鄉」的美譽。學生謝佳君說，除了眾多的香蕉製品，老街上還有不少販售新鮮香蕉的攤販，老師買了酸甜的蜜蕉和瘦如手指的美人蕉給同學們品嘗，這真是一趟知識性的「蕉」遊呢！

屏東藝隆農產負責人余致榮帶領師生參觀種苗培育、香蕉種植園區，以及香蕉集貨與包裝廠，最後再到AI戰情室，談到能把香蕉供貨至連鎖超商、美式大買場，甚至外銷日本的關鍵，就是透過管理技術，生產「品質穩定」的香蕉，並期勉學生努力讀書，將來用頭腦開創事業。
